Tree Court Builders Supply has been generously giving back to the community for over thirty years. Many St. Louis industry non-for-profit and charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Autism Speaks, and American Cancer Society have benefited throughout the years.
As long-time St. Louisans, Tim and Christina Schellhardt, new owners of Tree Court, are committed to the economic growth of St. Louis and the building industry as well as the continuation of a giving culture at Tree Court. With philanthropy and community outreach as personal priorities, they are excited about many future opportunities for growth – for their family of employees, for the overall business and for the community at large.
“We depend on our community and we believe in the phrase ‘it takes a village,’” said Christina Schellhardt, who oversees marketing and special projects. Tim, President of Tree Court adds, “There are so many people in St. Louis and beyond who don’t have roofs over their heads or a place to sleep. It’s our responsibility and simultaneously, it’s a gift to be able to help provide a safe place for those in need – a place they can call home.” Together, the Schellhardts chime in almost as if to finish each other’s thoughts, “We are fortunate and blessed to be able to help those in need.”
Recently, Tree Court Builders Supply donated interior doors, hardware and windows to the East Side Heart and Home Family Center – an organization creating connections and offering opportunities to effect change in East St. Louis, IL. As such, East Side Heart and Home constructs quality, affordable housing for the low-income families in East St. Louis.
Tree Court also sponsored the 10th Annual Our M.O.M. Miles Over Melanoma Run / Walk. Held in May and at Queeny Park every year, this was the second year Tree Court participated as a major sponsor. Melanoma – a deadly disease skin cancer can affect all walks of life – particularly those in the construction industry who work outside.
Additionally, Tree Court Builders Supply donated products to Rebuilding Together, an organization that believes that fixing homes and restoring public facilities are the most effective ways to impact an entire community. Check out this amazing video on Rebuilding Day.
